Mission Statement

Minimize
The Miller Place PTO’s primary purpose is to enhance the academic and social experience for every child within our school district. This organization steps up to the plate in funding activities and programs which the school district has cut out of its budget. Our motto is “for the kids”, the PTO acknowledges and aides all four Miller Place Schools, Kindergarten through 12th grade. It is the dedication of every member and volunteer that has aided the organization to meet the needs of the children over the many years it has been in existence. The organization has a member elected board (Meet the Board) who lead the chair people and volunteers with the many fundraisers and events throughout the year. The fundraisers include but are not limited to the following: 
  • Membership drive
  • EPI Fundraiser, School Pictures
  • AMPS, LADSBS, NCRMS Book Fairs
  • Halloween Fun Day
  • Hypnotist Fun Night
  • Breakfast with Santa, Kids Holiday Shoppe
  • Harlem Wizards Game
  • Casino Night
  • Bunny Breakfast and Egg Hunt
  • Fashion Show
  • Flower Sale
  • Spring Carnival
  • Ducks Game
  • Box Tops for Education
All the proceeds of these fundraisers go directly back to the schools. The PTO may not always be directly involved but will sponsor the following events or items 
  • Kindergarten Orientation
  • 1st grade Carnival
  • 2nd grade Picnic
  • 2nd grade Sweetheart Dance
  • LADSB Clubs
  • 5th Grade Moving up
  • NCR Recreation Nights
  • 8th Grade dance
  • Field Day for AMPS, LADSBS and NCR
  • Assemblies at all schools
  • Event Refreshments
  • Shows
  • Organizers
  • Craft Supplies
  • Musical Instrument Replacements
  • Field trip transportation
  • Scholarship fund
  • Author readings
  • Defensive driving class
  • PTO Basketball

Parents, teachers, neighbors and friends unite as a community and volunteer to make every year count for each child in the district. Please become a volunteer and join this wonderful community known as the Miller Place PTO.

PTO Teen Rec Night's at NCR! -

Dear Parents of a North Country Road Student,

 

     Welcome to the 2011-2012 PTO Teen Recreation Program! Teen Rec is a wonderful outlet for the children of our school district who are enrolled in the North Country Road Middle School. The PTO has made a commitment to supplement activities for this age group. School sponsored trips and dances; along with the PTO sponsored Teen Rec Program allows your child many opportunities throughout the school year to socialize in an environment that is comfortable, clean and safe.  Click on the links below for more information and the required permission slip.
